Connection
Most websites don't create links sections which was historically a collection of often eclectic and eccentric pages, compiled by internet pioneers. Maybe the concept is too obtuse and distracts the reader from the main website, yet I like the idea of what this page can offer. Since this is a personal website over a professional one, this section is another way to show you other sites that are interesting or inspiring to me.

Favorite
http://www.crimethinc.com
Crimethinc is a thorough resource for anarcho-inspired literature and art.

http://www.everyonewhosanyone.com
This website tracks the publishing industry with direct contact information to each professional. The website even goes further to rate specific people. Pricks are bestowed with a "666" next to their name.

http://www.peta2.com
In order to promote a society that doesn't fuck animals over through consumerism, it is important to raise awareness about the reality of the meat industry as a catalyst to turning vegan for life. And because the majority of attractive people are.

http://www.socionics.com
Socionics tests prove that I am an INTP and INFP hybrid personality. In other words, I am an introverted, perceiving idealo-rationalist. In other words, I am an intuitive-perceiving Smartisan. In other words, if you don't understand me, see the FAQ page on their website.

http://www.indymedia.org
You'll see Indymedia stickers passed around at protests. This is a resourceful website to radical demonstrations around the world and the reasoning behind them.

http://www.girlsarepretty.com
Girls Are Pretty is simply a calendar with a dedication for each day of the month.

http://www.theonion.com
The Onion is utterly ridiculous.

http://www.nytimes.com
Since I have a degree in Journalism, this naturally puts me on an ivory tower over your bachelor's degree in English in Western society. The New York Times, by far, has the best editorials and feature stories that try to embrace a different way of seeing a story in often trite and predictable mainstream journalism.

http://www.pw.org
Poets & Writers is an outreach for writers who seek publication and solace through the creative writing community. If you're a writer, I'll presume you're unsatisfied and perhaps disenfranchised. Go to the website and take your disillusionment out to the message boards.

http://www.time.com/time
Time Magazine's photo stories are very compelling for a mainstream publication. They go beyond posting photos of poor children from around the world.

http://www.mydeathspace.com
The purpose of MyDeathSpace is to act like an online living obituary community to those MySpace users who have died. The greatest cause for people under 30 to die is vehicular-related. If you don't need to drive, then don't. Give up your car and make friends on the metro. It's good for you and good for the environment.

http://www.foundmagazine.com
Found Magazine proves that the best things in life are free. The website is a collection of the strangest photos and objects found in public places.

http://www.nndb.com
NNDB is a database of prominent politicians, murderers, authors, artists and dancers. The website highlights the strange connections between famous people.

http://www.todieforclothing.com
Dress like Keith Barney of Eighteen Visions, only $18.99 plus tax. To Die For is like a monopoly of hardcore wear for Orange County. The designs are pleasant, though.

http://www.thesmokinggun.com
The Smoking Gun is the number one source for entertaining and unusual public records. The mug shots are monumental.

http://www.darklyrics.com
Dark Lyrics is a great muse for finding the heaviest of the heavy. \m/ And if you want to read the grotesque side of dark, reference Pig Destroyer.

http://www.colormatch.dk
This is the best color guide on the web for those who cannot break the cycle of red over black on their websites. Worse, those who don't use color at all.

http://www.xs4all.nl/~egbg/counterscript.html
This is a reference to counter telemarketers and their scripts. I link this because my pet peeves are solicitors. When I hear one I feel a silent rage encompassing my innards and ready to attack without thinking first. The counter-script is the more tactful way to deal with shitty people with even shittier jobs.

http://darkwing.uoregon.edu/~rbear/ren.htm
Renascence Editions is an anachronism; this is the most comprehensive library of archaic texts from 1477 to 1977. The styling is even true to the original source.

http://steves-digicams.com
Steve's Digital Cameras is probably the best resource to find information pertinent to professional digital cameras. I recommend any of Canon's SLRs.

http://www.geocities.com/sidexbyxside/words
This website has floated on my links pages since 2001. Chokehold's lyrics are my favorite, except they're not listed on this site. Bummer!

http://www.viceland.com
You probably take a look at Vice Magazine's DON'Ts section at least twice a year.

http://www.somamagazine.com
SOMA Magazine is the product of my old internship. Everything is more than what it seems at headquarters in San Francisco. The office behind the magazine is in fact a large office space with unused desks, lots of freebies, and very outdated computers.

http://www.anthem-magazine.com
I will probably intern at Anthem Magazine one day. This idea is the same concept as SOMA more or less except the magazine's home base is in Long Beach.

http://www.lonelyplanet.com
Research Lonely Planet before you fly far far away.

http://www.urbandictionary.com
Chances are, you're probably in a social coma and don't even know it. If you disagree with me, type "was good" in the Urban Dictionary search bar.

Artists
http://www.brianlichtenberg.com
Brian Lichtenberg is a Los Angeles-based clothing designer.

http://www.persephassa.com
Roxanne Carter is a Providence-based writer.

http://www.claudiacrobatia.com
Claudia Crobatia is a writer, photographer and acrobat from the Netherlands.

http://www.mashinkafirunts.com
Mariam Firunts is a Bay Area artist.

http://www.pflotography.com
Ryan Pfluger is a New York City-based photographer.

http://www.plantarchy.us
jUStin!katKO is a Providence-based video poet.

http://www.torrential.us
Stephen van Dyck is a Los Angeles-based poet and sound artist.

http://www.yerinmok.com
Ye Rin Mok is a Los Angeles-based photographer.

Personal
http://www.myspace.com/xv
I've been on MySpace since its inception in 2003. A few pictures of myself are posted here. Otherwise, you're missing out on nothing.

http://www.ebay.com/chrisgrrd
My eBay profile includes many eclectic auctions from glassware to used socks. Sometimes I also sell art.

http://qu.livejournal.com
My LiveJournal focuses on subversion and is updated twice yearly. Pathetic.

http://www.launch.com/chrisiwas
My radio station includes over 16,000 ratings of artists, releases and songs of indie rock, indie pop, hardcore, electronic and experimental groups.

http://otis.facebook.com/profile.php?id=11702879
Facebook is like an interactive college yearbook, complete with smiling college plebeians in bars. As you will see by my lack of college friends, I'm quite anti.

http://chrisgirard.yelp.com
Yelp is a practical way for the consumerist to complain for the benefit of others' reading. I primarily review restaurants, from a vegan perspective.

Hosted
http://www.badframing.org
BADFRAMING tries to use uninspiring material as sources of innovation. Think of Ansel and Robert Adams on LSD. This is my first completed product from a compilation of web pages with defined or incomplete objectives over the years.

http://www.chrisgirard.com/f
In lieu of Phi madness a la Da Vinci Code, the animated Fibonacci Pinwheel is elusive. This was made via Paint Shop Pro's animation tool, and a reproduction of physical versions of Phi.

http://www.chrisgirard.com/music.html
The music page is an extension of my radio station. I am somewhat of a connoisseur of indie music, so I decided why not expand my pretentious music list into an absurd block of dense text.

http://www.chrisgirard.com/trt
The Route Throughout is the first William Fake (Chris Girard) literary zine and a Cafe Ruba installation which explores the process of traveling.

http://www.chrisgirard.com/tsbd
The Space Between Doors is the second production by William Fake. Inspired by the mid-room between darkroom and hallway, this examines the ephemeral aspects of singular moments between haphazard and destiny. This zine includes an interactive journalism newsroom installation for a 2005 show in San Francisco.

http://www.chrisgirard.com/williamfake
This is the front page of the notorious multimedia man nobody really understands. William Fake is derived from William Blake, who is known as much for his innovative artwork as his writing.
